Fantastic product, but I always worry about future availability in case I need replacementsThese are simple to install and look great.I went to Walmart and got double-sided tape and that really did the trick.BTW You can def find these less expensive outside of Crazy Amazon.This has worked very well for us. We bought it because our 15-year-old, arthritic cat was having a hard time getting up the steep, uncarpeted staircase. It was so pathetic to see her paws slide backward as she tried to pull up each new stair. It's so much easier for her now. And once we put in we, realized our 70 year old bodies were helped by it too. Feel much more secure going down the steps, especially when wearing just socks, or barefoot.It also improved the look of the staircase. After agonizing over colors, we chose red, and it's worked out well. As someone else pointed out, it's a deep red and blends well with our beige walls, oak treads, and white risers. It was pretty easy to install, probably took 30-40 minutes, most of it spent carefully aligning them. The stick-on tape works well. All in all happy with the product. I gave it 4 stars because I like it. 5 Stars = "I love it." Well I just can't fall in love with stair treads. But give me some time--stranger things have happened.These are perfect! I bought the beige color and they blend in well with my hardwood stairs. I bought them because I have a split level house and have an aging dog that is having trouble going up and down the stairs because his feet slide. When I first put these down, he tried to walk on the sides of the stairs without them, but he finally realized that these help him keep his balance. Now, he looks at them and makes sure that he steps on them when going up and down the stairs. I bought the stair tape to go with them, but haven't had to use it yet. The mats seem to stay in place on their own so far.I recently removed the old cracking rubber stair treads from the 1950’s that were on the wood stairs leading down to my basement and wanted something that would cover up the ugly marks those old treads had left behind, and be softer on the feet. These are nice and wide/long and did a great job covering up the old tread marks. They are also very soft. My kids always run around barefoot and I wanted to protect their feet. They don’t come with any carpet tape or adhesive. I decided to staple them to the stairs instead, and this has worked well. They have a nice, firm rubber on the back, and I believe will hold up. I definitely recommend these.Great carpet treads for a great price. Similar ones cost over $100 at the home depot (I checked). Some people say they are too thin but I don't really see that as an issue. They feel nice on your feet and stick well so I don't see the need for them to be thicker than they are. They also look great. I bought the red and its a nice deep red, not super bright. They do also come with 2 strips of double sided taped already attached to each tread which makes it super easy to install.I bought these mainly for my dogs. One is getting a bit older and having carpet on the stairs really makes a huge difference in how easy it became for her to go up and down. The other dog is younger and runs up the stairs super fast. Too fast in fact because countless times he has slipped going up and crashed against the edge of the stairs. It got to the point where it was happening too much and he was getting hurt. Ever since I put these in he has not slipped once so I am super relieved and glad I made this purchase.We have painted wooden stairs that go down to the basement and they are incredibly slick. Normally I just have a good chuckle when my husband slips on them and lands in a heap at the bottom, but then our black lab took a tumble and was limping for several days afterwards. I purchased these and then forgot about them. I was completely surprised when, two months later, they showed up on my door. I quickly remembered their intended use and applied them to the stairs. While they took forever to get here, and were not cut straight, they were easy to apply and have stayed put even with a hyper black lab and a rambunctious, clumsy husband!In short: They are a decent product and at a good price, but don't expect them to show up when expected!These stair treads are exactly what we needed. They are soft and installation is easy with the attached adhesive. Just peel and stick. Our dog started slipping down the stairs and became afraid of coming down but now that we have installed these, she is running down like a young puppy!Worked very well on my staircase.Exactly what we neededGreat product, easy to install, GREAT customer service.
