For $10.69 I had to give this cover a shot. I'm usually skeptical about "original" and "custom fit" claims, because they are so often anything but, even when they charge "custom prices".For example, I paid top bucks for some very nice, heavy duty floor mats "guaranteed custom fit". Oh, they were heavy duty and very nice, but the last thing they were were "custom" anything. Sure, it fit, but the carpet hook hole was in the wrong place, for starters (and yes, this was confirmed the part no. for my specific truck) but i paid more for that "custom fit'. Heck, I can buy top of the line generic floor mats that fit well enough for less. We've all experienced such things as consumers.I shy away from such things, but at the asking price, I gave it a shot and am glad that I did. This piece was obviously and actually "custom fit" for the dash of my 2001 Durango SLT. The holes all line up easily and as intended without any hassle at all.Since it arrives rolled in plastic for shipping purposes, they advise laying it flat for awhile to flatten it back out of the shipping creases (nothing major, it's kinda folded over like a big ole Burrito)Instead, I've placed it on my dash (just resting, not attached yet) and will let the sun and gravity do its thing as it mold itself into a truer dash shape at the same time. Then it should be even easier to attach to my dash properly. They provide adhesive strips that one cuts into 1" sections so this will end up secured at many points with adhesive tape.I'll take a good look at the adhesive tape provided to check its apparent quality and what would work best for anchor points in stability and of course appearance. Clean the surface with a solvent like common household alcohol to remove any dirt, oils, dust and "Armor All" type protectants so the tape adheres properly.
