I bought this to reduce the glare from the dash on the windshield. I guess Ford wasn't thinking when they built a car with a light beige dashboard - I certainly wasn't thinking when I bought it. In any event, the DashMat - which is basically a black piece of carpet cut to fit your dash - eliminates the glare. It comes with some fasteners to make it lay flat - I only needed to use them in a couple of places. The fit was pretty much exact and there's no curling or bulges - it lays about as flat as a piece of carpet on your dashboard can. Not the most attractive option, but it beat painting the dash and I've pretty much forgotten that its there. The only thing I've found is that it reduces the sensitivity of the headlight sensor so that my lights come on earlier in the evening. There's a cutout for the sensor, but I'm guessing just having the black rug around the sensor sides reduces the light going into it.It does come rolled up in a tube, but mine was laying flat within a day or two.Five stars for being exactly what I expected.
